Dick giggled and apologised again. “Whoops,” his eyes looked deeper inside. “Oh! Are those mermaid scales? Aquaman swimming trunks? OK, we have to go in here,” and before Bruce could protest or suggest anything else, Dick dragged him into the store.

Bruce often thought that there was a strange contradiction to being a Gothamite. Despite being a highly advanced civilization with trading routes across the stars, enhanced machinery, and a complicated language, there was also a primitive element to their culture that didn’t seem to be replicated elsewhere.
That wasn’t to say it was unheard of, of course. Many intergalactic-traveling alien species were known for having monstrous strength, such as Kryptonians or Banes, or for having aggressive instincts like the Man-Bats or the Two-Facers and their rivals, the False Facers.
But Bruce was firmly of the opinion that Gothamites were unrivaled in this contradiction anyway. It was possible he was simply biased in this matter, but he was increasingly certain he was not. For example, despite their strength, the Kryptonians tended to act as if they had no instincts at all. The Facer species, either of them, tended to be physically weak and only made up for this deficiency through the use of weaponry.Series

Dick Grayson would say he’s a family man. He learned that family means everything from his deceased parents. So that was his motto, family means everything. That’s why he let Bruce convince him to go undercover in Spryl and fake his death, that’s why he took all the insults thrown his way by his brothers when he came back alive. That’s why he didn’t contact them or anyone when they didn’t want to after.
Dick Grayson was used to feeling alone, around civilians mostly because of his secret vigilante life. But now, he felt alone everywhere. In the hero community and in his civilian life as a police officer.
That’s why, when he followed a lead to a warehouse and got shot in the back by a mysterious plasma gun. He didn’t press his emergency button. It’s not like anyone would come for him anyway.

After the events of Dick Grayson’s faked death, he’s now estranged from his family. Mainly staying in Bludhaven as its sole protector as Nightwing. Only collaborating with the others when something big happens.
One night, Nightwing gets a tip that something is going down in a warehouse on the edge of Bludhaven. When he went to check it out he saw no one at the warehouse. As he explores the place he finds a duffle bag. Inside was basic items, some clothes, non perishable food, a couple water bottles, and…his old Robin uniform?
Before Dick could react, there was a whirring noise of a laser weapon behind him. In a blink of an eye everything went black.
When he woke up, Dick was in an alley. A familiar one that he knew very well in Gotham. As he explores this new place he figures many things out, he’s now 15, this isn’t his world as Dick Grayson doesn’t exist here, and over 90% of Gotham are vampires!
