Summary
Waking up was expected, but waking up in an enclosed, cramped, and pitch black space was not. In fact, it was confusing and frightening once the recognition hit him. A coffin. He was buried inside a coffin right now. He wasn't waking up on a soft bed with new vampirism, no, he wasn't being held in the arms of Bruce or Alfred or even Dick, instead he was buried like the dead. He knows he was soon to be dead when he heard Bruce coming to the warehouse but being treated like any old corpse… that's just cruel.
[I wanted Jason to be a Siren, so I did it. But then I wanted more supernatural things. So I added them too. Then I wanted sort-of-like-canon [Because multiple retcons and timelines and interpretations of canon and timeywimy stuff.] added as well for angsty purposes. So I did as well. However this is mostly a lovely focus on Jason as a siren with his brand of angst.]

Summary
Danny has recently been crowned King of the Infinite Realms. He had a whole coronation ceremony and everything. Except now, he’s dealing with a major power upgrade, and is taking some time to himself in his castle to adjust to his new power and ghostly instincts. It would be a lot easier to do so, however, if he wasn’t getting summoned every five minutes.
Tim was not on board with the whole “summon the new king of the afterlife” plan, particularly the part where they bothered a guy who could destroy them all with a sneeze. But when the plan goes wrong, Tim’s too focused on trying to get back what was lost to gloat.
Jason has no idea what’s going on, and would really like it if his body would stop betraying him, thanks. And if this creepy yet cuddly cosmic entity would let him go, that would be just swell.
Jason is confused. Tim is determined. And Danny is signing adoption papers.

Jason smirked, wanted to make a joke about how he was about waist height so if Tim just stood on his tiptoes they could have some fun, but it didn’t really seem like the moment for it so he held back. Barely.
It did leave Jason eye-level with the utility belt Tim had thrown on in place of a regular fucking toolbelt. Yet another thing that Jason could mock him for.

Bruce often thought that there was a strange contradiction to being a Gothamite. Despite being a highly advanced civilization with trading routes across the stars, enhanced machinery, and a complicated language, there was also a primitive element to their culture that didn’t seem to be replicated elsewhere.
That wasn’t to say it was unheard of, of course. Many intergalactic-traveling alien species were known for having monstrous strength, such as Kryptonians or Banes, or for having aggressive instincts like the Man-Bats or the Two-Facers and their rivals, the False Facers.
But Bruce was firmly of the opinion that Gothamites were unrivaled in this contradiction anyway. It was possible he was simply biased in this matter, but he was increasingly certain he was not. For example, despite their strength, the Kryptonians tended to act as if they had no instincts at all. The Facer species, either of them, tended to be physically weak and only made up for this deficiency through the use of weaponry.Series
