Summary
“This… complicates things,” you eventually say, sensing the shinigami’s eyes on you.
“Does it really?” Ryuk hums. “Just keep doing your thing. You kill people, I watch. Win-win.”
“I’m not doing this to kill people,” you say. That’s not how you want to use the notebook. You’re not going to kill people out of revenge, vengeance, anything like that. You’re only going to get rid of those who truly deserve it.
Ryuk laughs. It’s a loud, frightening sound that sends your heart racing again. “Right,” it says with a scoff. “I’ve heard that one before, trust me.”
