Her sister Vi, once estranged, is trying to reconnect, especially with Isha, who speaks only in sign and soft sounds. The silence between them is heavy with guilt, love, and memories of who Powder used to be.
At night, after the homework and bedtime stories.
Later, Ekko, a family friend and daycare volunteer, meets the Jinx as Jinx. Not Powder, not Isha's mom. Just Jinx.

He gestured toward the holo-display, an intricate rendering of the Na'vi queue, the biological tendril that allowed them to bond with the world around them. "Their neural network isn't just communication. It's… understanding. True understanding. To merge with another being, to feel what they feel-" He trailed off, his fingers grazing the edge of the console.
"You make it sound so mystical. It's just a biological function, Viktor." Jayce replied.
Viktor scoffed, lightly leaning himself back into his chair, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Yes, and a sunrise is just light refraction, and love is just a series of chemical reactions, hmm?" Viktor waved his hand at Jayce as his elbow rested against the cold table.OR
