For several moons, Leif and Kabbu have been taking a well-deserved break from exploring to tend to other business and take care of themselves. When Elizant tells them that Vi has gone missing along with other explorers on a secret expedition into the forgotten corners of Bugaria's borderlands in search of an unknown treasure, they find themselves chasing after not only their missing allies, but also the wasp king's missing crown. While having to prove their strength both together and separately, Team Snakemouth crosses paths with friends, foes, and new faces on a race to keep Bugaria's hard-won peace.

This is the first fic I've seen where Team Snakemouth doesn't live together after the quest...it's very odd, but when I think about it I suppose it makes sense. Kinda? I can't imagine Vi going back to the hive, and living with Kabbu and Leif seems like the most obvious option for her, and especially Leif. Kabbu's motivation to stay in Defiant Root is a bit more understandable for his character.
More than that, though, I've seen very few fics that start a new quest that expand on the loose ends of Bug Fables substantively, as opposed to adding new ideas/crossovers, so I'm very excited to see where this goes. I haven't seen any notable issues with your writing; I'd say some more vivid imagery would do a lot of good, and there are a few places where it's a little unclear which character is speaking, but that's it.

This just isn't something discussed in fics enough...and I'm really curious how...chronic his memory loss is exactly. Are those moments of clarity rare, or actually the norm? From the sound of it, it's the latter, and that combined with Leif downplaying his symptoms made it harder for anyone to notice what was happening.
