Summary
If this continues, Tim will die. Even just from the blood loss and constant pain, Tim can feel himself growing weak. Eventually, he’ll be an easy target for any assassin angry that Tim has gained Ra’s’ “favor.” Tim doesn’t want the supposed “favor” and would—despite his budding plans to take down the League of Assassins—flee like a cowardly child with Tam at the first opportunity. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to matter. Tim already has many enemies, the White Ghost and the Expediter among them. The only thing keeping him safe right now is fear.
Tim winces as the old bandages brush against his wound.

"Is this the part when you can finally tell us whether or not you're League?" Dick asks mildly, the first of them to take a step forward. He seems surprised, obviously, and mildly concerned, but not the least bit threatened. His hand isn't even on his belt. Red was staring into the acrobat's soul, and Dick just took off his cowl and quirked an eyebrow.
"Well, no one's League anymore." Red, honest to God, giggled. "Talia's calling her faction 'Leviathan', and I'm calling my 'faction' 'bunch of idiots who won't take fuck off as an answer from anyone but Nyssa'. But..." Red tilted his head, falling silent as he thought.
"But?" Dick prompted, all too eager to keep Red's attention while the rest of them were still trying to catch up to the conversation. Babs put an arm around Damian, leading him to the medbay, and the kid didn't say a peep. Jason felt like he was in the fucking Twilight Zone.
"But I don't see a reason not to tell you, at this point."

In a world where alphas, betas, and omegas existed.. Tim was a beta.
Betas sometimes could be seen as lesser, and generally less important, as they could be the caretaker, or a mediator between the alphas and omegas when things could get heated.
The fact was that they tended to be left on the sidelines, even if unintentionally, because they didn’t have things like heats or ruts. They didn’t have instincts that made them crazy protective over their pack. They couldn’t, because they needed to have a clear mind. To care for the pack when they aren’t of a stable mind, such as during heats or ruts.
It was all due to these things, and many more, that Tim had never thought of himself with much importance.
A beta would never get many propositions, if any at all.
And it was with these things in mind, that made him gaze incredulously at Ra’s.
