Summary
The town of Wartwood. A small village that lies in the forested swamps of the valley. It has harsh terrain and even harsher weather. The people are rough around the edges, living the hard life. Farmers, bakers, wood smiths, and hard-working laborers. They work to live. And living is a nightmare for this town. The murky swamps hold their fair share of trouble. Creatures of death and danger lurk around every tree. This town is haunted by one in particular. One they call “The Beast.”

I'm sort of going through my bookmarks and adding a few comments here and there on ones that I hadn't already done so and dear God why haven't I put one on this one yet, sigh. All right so from the get-go we can tell that this is a primarily human AU in a close to medieval setting that still has certain aspects of fantasy mixed in. The biggest one right off the bat being that one of our main characters Anne is a werewolf and not the cute and cuddly kind or the depressingly tragic kind either. No no no, we're looking at the bloodthirsty beast kind of werewolf at least initially. Now for those of you who might or might not have read the Mercy Thompson book series I get the feeling that this story shares many of the aspects that werewolves have in that storyline. So while I will not say if you enjoyed that you'll enjoy this if you're here and looking through amphibia stories then you'll probably enjoy this one. I shall add the number 13 here for literally no reason... What you want a reason fine because I like that number, however it is not my favorite number. My favorite number is 2 followed very closely by 12 this has absolutely no bearing on the story I just like those numbers.

What would change with Anne and the remaining plantars? What would become of Sasha and Marcy? An unearthing conversation with Grime reminds Sasha that love is powerful in all its beautiful ways, and it is love that is worth fighting for.
