This AU Focuses on the Idea that Cryptor and Mindroid didn't die at the end of season 3 but they got away from ninjago city and retreated to the slums. They live there now as the sell parts as a living but they go on silly and sometimes devestating adventures. So uhhhh yeah.

He glanced at the others inside the vehicle, reciting their names in his head so hopefully any forgetfulness would be extinguished. He didn’t know if this was an act for Cryptor to see his worth, investigate Zane’s weaknesses, or some weird planned murder, though no matter what it was, he felt like he was balancing on a tightrope. That if he was to fall, he would plummet, and whatever waiting for him on the ground was something to be feared.

Or: Pixal ever so politely told her brother Cryptor to invite Zane to the carnival with their family, though Garmadon attacks the city and leaves Echo to fill his place. Morro tags along (partially dragged by Echo) and the five have a good time.
