Before Kshira devours them, they cling to the one truth they still own: each other. Hands slick with circulatory fluid, mouths tasting of tears and coolant, they stroke, kiss, and fuck like soldiers charging into the end, desperate to brand their bond into every screaming circuit.
Far above, on a storm-lashed cliff, Wanshi watches the colossal pale thing rising from the sea lifts its face to the rain, left hand gently closing around the right, exactly the way Chrome once held Kamui under safe-zone lights.
Wanshi’s finger settles on the trigger. He would press the shutter for them, again.

Gotham City had always been a hotspot for crime, so naturally he chose the most dangerous place on the Eastern seaboard to help protect. Now that he's more 'acquainted' with the other vigilantes of the gritty city, he'd say that things were going pretty okay, all things considered.
Even if he could've turned into a Parker-Spider pancake. Oh well, he hasn't had a weighted blanket this nice in a while, even if he was stabbed in a few places.
OR
During a fight with Firefly, which explosives are perhaps a little liberally used, a building collapses on him, along with Red Hood. Help, injuries, and a coffee are involved, perhaps not in that order.

Then memory floods back, scalding: Wanshi forcing the last bottle of supply between his lips, Kamui driving into him hard enough to bend alloy while sandstorms howl, Camu’s voice refusing to hang up when he listens to a dying Construct’s truth.
