He didn’t have a home. No roots. No friends. The world was his oyster, and at times, even that didn’t feel enough for his adventurous mind. But his family filled that gap. They filled that missing part of his heart that he was always searching for.
The one which he filled with addictions.. those used to be Dolores and twinkies, then quickly changed to The Handler and steroids, then finally to Homicide and time-travel. It became a part of him, Those things would never shape or change, but they made his heart into a dagger, his family filled the rest of the hole, making him have a heart again.
Now.. It was nothing but alcohol, homicide, and the occasional thought of his family being normal for once that kept him eternally sane. Or not.
…
Five wakes up on the day of his father’s funeral, for the second time, and everything is not at all as its meant to be.
Or… just the result of when you take an immortal boy, an incestual idiot, a heartbroken violinist, a squid boy, a serial killer, a pretty face, and a DYI batman in the same household.
