Nate turned to find a young man sitting on his cot, knees drawn up to his chest, and books scattered around the room in various stacks. Long hair fell in his face, bandages wound around his arms, and his eyes glassy but fixed on him.
“I’m filling in for Dr. Devin for the weekend, he won a last minute cruise. I’m Dr. Johanna.”
“You’re not a doctor.”
Nate raised an eyebrow. “Four years of medical school and I’m not a doctor. My mother would be so disappointed.”
“You never went to medical school,” the patient said with a hint of amusement.
“What makes you say that?”
“Your shoes,” the boy said.
Nate looked down. “…my shoes?”
“They’re not comfortable. The first lesson you learned in your residency after spending hours on your feet would be that you needed a decent pair of shoes to make it to the end of the day.”
The Leverage Team has handled everything from thieves, conmen, and even corrupt politicians but serial killers is a little out of their jurisdiction. At least, until they stumble across Dr. Spencer Reid while on a case. Reid’s been accused of thirteen murders, but something’s not adding up.

Seriously, who named themselves after a restaurant? And of all the restaurants that someone could pick from, why Red Robins? There were so many better places to eat. Or for naming value, there were cooler sounding restaurants
“I resent that,” Red Robin mused with a smirk, not genuinely annoyed
Hardison wasn’t paying attention, his worry manifesting. “Eagle, Bluejay, Buzzer, Mockingbird,” he listed various birds dramatically on his fingers. “And I don’t even know what the hell kind of bird you are!” he exclaimed vaguely motioning to Nightwing before turning around once more. “Or Red Hood, really? You’re not even keeping with the animal theme, you’re an article of clothing!”

Deciding to make a TikTok account where he could post funny moments of the team had been an idea he loosely played with until he did it.

Her voice is commanding, but more desperate and uncertain than it would ever be on the field. She’s mixing together everything she knows, trying to find something that works. She has, apparently, not yet figured out that all she needs to do to get Hardison's attention is say the word.
“Yeah?” he says, putting a tremendous amount of effort into looking up from his hands, just to see her glance at Eliot.
“Alec”, Eliot says, finishing what Parker started, “it wasn’t your fault.”

Eliot never got away from Moreau and worked as his mole within the team for three years, slowly growing attached to the crew. When they set their sights on Moreau, Eliot has to choose sides.
Hardison already regretted volunteering to accompany Eliot on this errand, but he kept his mouth shut since Eliot was on tenterhooks already preparing to con Moreau for Leverage. Now if he can just figure out why everyone is looking at Eliot so strangely…
Note: This started with a joke concept, and it's a considerably lighter take on this AU than other installments in the series, but it's still set in a dark AU and not exactly a humor fic.
