Summary
On the heels of Alastomon's defeat, the Legendary Warriors are forced to return to their regular lives. However, their foe has left behind a parting gift: an unknown human accomplice who is set on bringing both worlds to ruin. The Legendary Warriors are given no time to rest before they must pick up the broken pieces of Alastomon's war and stop a masked enemy from destroying all they have fought to protect. Summary
Last year I used a randomizer, putting all names of the eight Chosen Children of Digimon Adventure, their Digimon partners and Crests into a hat. This way, I tried to give myself a little writing challenge, revolving around a simple "What if...?" premise:
"How would the Chosen Children react to getting approached by the Digimon partners of their friends in certain situations - and how do they display certain Crest attributes?"
Thus, eight one shots were created that I had a lot of fun with. The stories are mostly separate from one another and take place at different parts of the original Digimon Adventure timeline. If you are into what if scenarios and like to explore different character dynamics, feel free to read along...!

“We’re too late.” Alphamon scowled, staring at the colossal iron Gate. “Our sources were right. Myotismon has departed for the real world, with the Chosen Children not far behind.”
“Then it’s decided!” Gallantmon’s voice declared. “Magnamon shall be our champion!”
The sole Armor digimon’s shoulder pads sprung from their relaxed position, hanging over the outside of his arms, to pointing directly out, while his jaw would have hit the floor if not for his helm. “Wait, what?!”
(Or I went "What if Veemon met Davis on a quest as Magnamon" and it snowballed from there.)

Tai is too pushy, Matt isolates himself too much, Joe is so fearful that he'd even compromise his reliability in order to run away, Sora feels a lot more unsure of herself, Mimi's shelterdness and spoiled attitude force her to see a world she doesn't understand and is afraid of, TK's young innocence is shattered time and time again, and meanwhile Izzy in the background is really just losing his mind.
