No one quite knows but a few facts are known one digimon per egg and they always appear at the village of beginnings, but one day these basic facts were both overturned at the same time. How? Why? That doesn't matter what matters is how this changes hope. -

Things are mostly peaceful… Or so Taichi keeps telling himself, as he has been haunted by dreams for years - dreams about adventures he hasn’t lived through himself, everything is familiar yet a little bit weird. They’re becoming more and more vivid as time goes by, messing with his head, his perception, his memories - and he’s not sure how long he can continue to be his most courageous self without anyone else noticing the cracks.

Summary
Last year I used a randomizer, putting all names of the eight Chosen Children of Digimon Adventure, their Digimon partners and Crests into a hat. This way, I tried to give myself a little writing challenge, revolving around a simple "What if...?" premise:
"How would the Chosen Children react to getting approached by the Digimon partners of their friends in certain situations - and how do they display certain Crest attributes?"
Thus, eight one shots were created that I had a lot of fun with. The stories are mostly separate from one another and take place at different parts of the original Digimon Adventure timeline. If you are into what if scenarios and like to explore different character dynamics, feel free to read along...!

The sole Armor digimon’s shoulder pads sprung from their relaxed position, hanging over the outside of his arms, to pointing directly out, while his jaw would have hit the floor if not for his helm. “Wait, what?!”
(Or I went "What if Veemon met Davis on a quest as Magnamon" and it snowballed from there.)

Tai is too pushy, Matt isolates himself too much, Joe is so fearful that he'd even compromise his reliability in order to run away, Sora feels a lot more unsure of herself, Mimi's shelterdness and spoiled attitude force her to see a world she doesn't understand and is afraid of, TK's young innocence is shattered time and time again, and meanwhile Izzy in the background is really just losing his mind. He doesn't even really WANT to go home
