The concept of Glara having heat is a concept originally used in How to train your galra which is another amazing story here on AO3.It doesn’t impact my story drastically however it was not my original concept.My book takes place with the timeline of “how to train your Galra” being part of the Voltron time line and now we are post Voltron.It is not nessasary to read “How to train your Galra” in order to understand my story but if you want to I highly recommend.Thank you for reading it means a lot! It's been two years since universe no longer needed their legendary defenders. With the universe saved, there's a lot more downtime and so why not a friendly game of Texas hold 'em?
Keith eyes Lance from across the table. His left leg on the round kitchen table. “You sure you wanna do this? I won’t blame you for trying to save your pride.”
Lance can’t help but let out a low laugh, “it isn’t my pride needing saving. Deal them.”
Keith begins shuffling the cards, his nimble fingers working with precision. His eyes stay locked on Lance, “do you even know how to play Texas hold ’em?”
Lance shrugs, “I mean it’s been a couple years but yeah. My cousin Chris taught me before he went to start some reality teen show.”*Please remember this takes place post season 8 making Keith and Lance both over the age of eighteen - thank you.*

And of course, one of those important things Lance is willing to help Keith with, is being there for his lover during Keith's Galran induced ruts.
Of course, what Lance hadn't expected was to become pregnant because of said rut.
Now Lance is in a predicament. Right before Lance could drop that big bomb on their relationship, Keith has run off on a rescue mission, leaving the secret trapped in Lance's throat. Which means Lance now has to make a choice between going on the important mission he had been drafted for before learning he was pregnant, or choosing to try and find a replacement for himself last minute.
