Summary
Eliot is staring at Quentin’s feet, the shadows of the hallway making it look like he’s at the end of a long, dark tunnel that he’d clawed his way up to get to this bedroom. “Yes, I did. After I was able to get out of bed and... walk and you were finally awake for longer than an hour, I went to see you.” He leans against the doorway again, his hands in his pockets, eyes moving from Quentin, to the window, and then back. He clears his throat - “You didn’t see me. And I- what I wanted to say- I couldn’t… and it was cowardly. I should have just talked to you, but I ran instead.”
What I wanted to say…
“What did you want to say?” Quentin asks softly.
“Why didn’t you say it?” he almost whispers, his eyes gazing up at Eliot.
Eliot looks at him and whatever he sees in Quentin’s eyes seems to break him even further, and a choked sob escapes. He runs a hand over his face and says, “You had Alice.”
Quentin swallows.
“I wanted you.”

Finally Quentin shifts against him, picking his head up from Eliot’s chest and turning it, burying it in his neck. His hands are still on Eliot’s back, but they shift from gripping tightly to a soft rub, moving up and down, one hand pulling out from under Eliot’s arm to move to the back of his neck, and then Quentin’s fingers are in his hair, combing through the strands. Eliot swallows as he feels his body start to respond—a warm coil unraveling in his gut, his eyes closing and thighs tightening as he sighs. it’s been a while… a really long time since he’s been touched this way.
Eliot still has his arms wrapped around Quentin, one around his waist, the other settled just below the back of Quentin’s neck. Quentin turns his head and Eliot feels soft lips against his hot skin, kissing at his collarbone and then up his throat. A soft noise escapes Eliot’s mouth, and his hand moves up and tightens on the nape of Quentin’s neck as he dips his head and Quentin pushes up and captures Eliot’s mouth.
This… this was not what Eliot was expecting today, what he dared hope to dream for, but as he kisses Quentin, just a gentle brush of lips, he thanks whatever deity is shining upon him right now. He hasn’t kissed Quentin, this Quentin, in years, but the feelings of connection, rightness, and tranquility feel so familiar, like this has been right at the tip of his fingers and he just kept fucking missing it.

Summary
Now: When Eliot wakes up, everything is wrong. Quentin is missing, leaving only ominous letters behind, and no one seems to care. He needs to understand what happened while he was gone. Why something in his body is telling him things were worse than they seemed. He has to find Q, at least make sure he's still alive.
Then: The monster is fascinated by Quentin. And Quentin? Well, he loves Eliot and he needs to keep his body alive for him to return... and he is a weak, selfish man. Really, he shouldn't have expected better from himself.

Summary
A post-canon fix-it verse where Quentin, as a ghost trapped in the ambient, mends himself back to life, and in the aftermath has to figure out where he stands. Convinced he doesn't belong, he leaves town, but eventually coming back is all he wants. Even then, questions of belonging don't just go away.
So far, the fics in this series are for Queliot Events' Taylor Swift events (folklore and evermore).

Summary
In which Eliot’s horrible parents announce they’re coming to NYC to watch a taping of "Live with Kelly and Ryan" and plan to crash at his modest Brooklyn apartment. They call on their way to the Fort Wayne International Airport. Eliot has the space of a plane ride from Indiana to New York to figure out a plan…
All this time he’s told his kin he’s happy and successful, with a live-in boyfriend, raising a family of beautiful culinary herbs together. Most of that is true—except he doesn’t have a boyfriend at all, much less one who lives with him.
Once again, Quentin saves the day.
A Magicians future fic that disregards the last half of 4x13. Quentin saved the day but escaped alive.
Written for Queliot Week 2019's Fake/Pretend Relationship prompt (and posted a little late because life. Also, this bish is long).

"Do you remember where you were burned?”
“Julia, spit it out, please.”
Julia does not spit it out, as it happens. What she does is help Quentin sit up so he can see his feet. Or, rather, his foot, because where the lower part of his left leg should be making a lump under the blankets, there is nothing at all.
Quentin survives the blast in the Mirror Realm, but at the cost of half his leg. In the aftermath, he's sent off to recover, but the thing is, he's not sure if anyone is really going to want him to come back now. As for Eliot? Well, first he has to find out what actually even happened.
But even once they straighten themselves out, the consequences of magic are more complicated than they expected.

Summary
“I never meant for you to think our lives there didn’t matter to me.”
“Well, that’s kind of what you said though, isn’t it?”
An alternate ending to Season 4, where Quentin and Eliot have an actual conversation about their lives at the Mosaic and what they mean to each other now.

“Sorry,” he said, and then slunk back down to bury his head against Eliot’s shoulder.
“Q,” Eliot breathed. It didn’t sound so much like the start of a sentence, but just a statement in itself. It was don’t be and I’m here now and I wish I could take it all away. Instead of actually saying any of those things, Eliot tilted his head down and kissed Quentin’s forehead, slowly and gently. He left his lips there for several seconds, and when he finally moved away, he nuzzled his head against Quentin’s. And if he hadn’t just been crying for at least 10 minutes straight, that would have sent Quentin into another fit. He couldn’t… it was just so much.

Summary
Life goes on and they all try their best to make the most of it. But life, or death, is never that easy.
Quentin was ready to move on, but now that he is in Heaven he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong there. He had the death changing realisation of the meaning behind the mosaic. The beauty of all life. And he will do whatever he must to mend what he broke. After all, his discipline is Minor Mending. Meanwhile, Eliot's pain has evolved into something much more powerful that he ever though possible, but he should have seen it coming. After all, magic comes from pain. The rest of the gang are looking for a way to be re-united, but they will find out more than what they were looking for in their search.
(Or the fanfic where I continue the series because I kinda liked Eliot's journey in Season 5 but they all deserve to be together. And let's be honest... Quentin dying is the shittiest thing ever.)
PS: No need to have watched season 5 to follow this, everything that you would need to know it's quoted and explainedSeries

Summary
It was the second fic I wrote. I'm trying to make it better written, keeping the whole theme of the story.
Quentin survives the explosion after restoring the mirror and throwing the bottle with the monster. He wakes up alone and realizes he has been abandoned by the people who are supposed to be his friends. How will he react?
I'd love to hear what you think, but take it easy if you don't like it lol.-

Summary
“You don’t have to apologize. I just wanted you to know,” Eliot says softly, once Quentin can breathe again, once he’s stopped leaking all over everything, himself and the grass and Eliot. “You deserve to know you’re loved.”
“I don’t think– I can’t be anyone’s boyfriend right now, Eliot,” and somehow it hurts more to say it now than it had to say it to Alice. But Eliot just smiles, sad but real, and reaches out to smooth Quentin’s hair off his face. It’s too short to hook behind his ear, but Eliot keeps petting him anyway. It feels nice. Grounding.
The Monster is gone, but that doesn't mean everything's okay. It's not. But maybe Quentin and Eliot can learn to be.

Summary
This wasn’t some grand otherworldly battle. It was just New York at night.
Quentin sighed and looked up at the man on the stoop. “I’m not loitering. I didn’t know… I was just…” He gestured weakly over his shoulder at the bakery across the street. “But I don’t have any money so.” He shrugged pathetically. “Sorry if I wandered onto your turf.”
He shook his head and turned away. Who was he kidding? There was no hero-king-quester left. Just the shadow. He couldn’t be a hero, he couldn’t be a badass. He couldn’t even hold a coherent conversation with a fellow magician. His head hung low as he walked away. He pulled up his already soaked hood and let it hang uselessly over his eyes.
“I don’t have any money either,” the Sorcerer Supreme said, and Quentin stopped. “I used to but… Wong’s a bad influence.”
“Ok,” said Quentin. He didn’t get it.
“But I have tea.”
a.ka. The story in which Quentin Coldwater and Doctor Strange open a gift shop together because times are tough right now and we all need a friend.

Summary
He had broken up with Alice because — it almost didn’t bear going into. He had broken up with Alice because he never should have gotten back with Alice; because they were different people who wanted different things in a way that had been easier to ignore when they were grad students wrestling with the same coursework; because he came back from the dead and the person on the other side of the faultline in his life seemed suddenly very far away; because Alice was always saying things like “Q, have you thought about seeing a therapist?” and “I’m worried about you, Q,” and “Quentin, I really think you should be talking to a professional,” and Quentin was always saying things like “I need to go to sleep,” and “I’m gonna get another beer,” and “Not to be an asshole, but can you like get off my fucking dick?”
But also, he had broken up with Alice because he had a sex dream about Eliot Waugh.
(Or: Quentin blows up his life, hops into a car with Julia, and flees the state. It's not exactly the fresh start he'd hoped for.)
