Summary
George and Dream are best friends, across the globe from eachother. As each morning dawns, and Dream finds himself reaching more and more for George, a desperate love story unfolds, across miles, video calls, twitch streams, and so much more. This story is about longing, love, and the pain that comes with the human heart.

“The cameras are never off!” Dream exclaims, laying back onto his bed. “I wish they were off more.”
“But then you wouldn't be able to annoy me to death!”
“Oh trust me. I’d find a way.” Dream says, staring at the cars coming and going past the window. That damn window. “My real worry is that I wouldn’t see your face as much.”

Summary
George and Dream are still not together. Dream still has lingering feelings. They said not yet, maybe someday. But it's been more than two years since then. The two of them, along with Sapnap all live in the amazing Dream Team house like they've planned for forever.
A little less than three years since it was first released. The infamous Heatwaves. The fanfiction that almost everyone in their fandom has read, the fiction of what never happened.
They make jokes about it. All the time. Because, in honesty; Dream gets scared at how accurate the story was. Some of those conversations actually happened. Or something close to it. Conversations in the dark, snapchats of his hands, the nightmares.

It's been a little less than three years since the hit fanfiction called Heatwaves has been published. It's June of 2023 and Dream is finally reading it. His feelings for George have never left, not in 4 years. When Dream decides to read this story he realizes there are so many similarities. -

When Sapnap leaves to visit Karl and Quackity, George comes to live with Dream so that he isn't so lonely. Except, a disgruntled George--due to reconsidering his feelings for Dream as being possibly more than platonic after a conversation with Wilbur--runs into a quite literally (you'll see) homophobic witch, who takes out her annoyance on George with a curse only to be broken by a true love's kiss.
...OR, in this fic's reality: George has not yet seen Dream's face, Patches is beyond adorable, and Dream has created a playlist--featuring Sweater Weather and Heat Waves, of course--to listen to with George on the way home from the airport. George's flight does not work out as expected and Dream is left "alone" at the airport thinking George doesn't even care enough to text him to tell him that he isn't actually coming. -

Eventually, he gathered enough courage to walk up to the incredibly adorable customer.
He cleared his throat before saying, "H-Hey, can I help you, uh, with anything?"

Summary
George has always held a strong admiration for Dream, but when their complex friendship follows him while he sleeps, he wakes up to a new world where he's changed but everything else has remained the same. In the middle of a London summer, he listens to this song that speaks back to him in echoes of his own voice. London nights, unsent messages, loving fixation, and terrible, terrible weather.
Dream grumbles, "I don't do that."
"Yes, you do." George starts. He feels a small fire in his chest and his words are spoken just as fast as sparks from the flame, a little too sweet. "Stop being so cute."
The call falls silent.
George bites his tongue. They must have heard it. There was an alteration in his voice, not the usual disregard of flirtatious advancements, not a silly topic to humor himself with. It came from his heart- a fire that won't be put out, but wavers with secrecy and shame- for Dream, and only Dream. They heard it, didn't they?

Summary
After some dinner and story telling neither of the boys can sleep. George, not being used to the heat, decides to join Dream in his well-ventilated room leading to some sleepless nights and awakened feelings.
