And everyone knew it.
Even Xander — the last person to ever offer Spike sympathy — found himself feeling kind of bad for the guy. And honestly? That was saying something.

"Isn't that something Mr. Giles could also do?"
Willow snorted.
"Yeah but Giles is gonna rage at me when he finds out what I did, and how I did it."
She shook her head.
"I love you, Tara, I really do. Nothing will ever change that, but it's what we should have done in June. We should have given Faith a second chance, no matter how many reasons people have to hate her. She won't be the B-team Slayer here, either. She'll very directly be the Slayer. And I'm going to do this."
