If his master had been cruel or controlling, he might have been able to focus on fighting or escaping, but the charming King Talis is just too sweet, and Viktor can't bring himself to fight him. Luckily, he finds that he doesn't need to, not when new information comes to light that might just help him both protect his people and stay by the side of the man who looks at him like he hung the moon in the sky.

Summary

Their paths cross in the waiting room of a psychiatric clinic. Caitlyn is seeking peace from the nightmares and memories she can’t control yet again. Vi is there because she has to be. She had to choose between therapy or returning to prison for assault.
As Caitlyn digs into a case that was previously closed, they find themselves interacting far more than intended. They grow closer through truth and lies. They try to heal together through fragile trust and a few blurred lines along the way.
Maybe in finding the truth, they find something more. Something that tastes a little too much like love.
