a crooked touch (Astarion x m!Tav) by eyes_of_the_lamb
Fandom: Baldur's Gate (Video Games)
16 Nov 2024
Summary
“Make it hurt, then. Kiss me like you want to kill me.”
“I can do that.”
Two broken stars in a decaying orbit, passing closer and closer together until the inevitable, devastating collision.
Or, Tav is fucked up and down bad for Astarion, who doesn't quite see the appeal (but he's getting there). Sexual frustration, sloppy handjobs, a heavy dose of masochism, and way too many failed Insight checks ahead. Tav falls first, Astarion falls harder (eventually).
Or, a tragic-but-hopeful romance told through a series of incredibly ill-advised sexual encounters.
If you want to read a story where Astarion is sweet from the start and Tav is here to fix him, this isn't the one. If you want to read about two terribly broken men spending a good long while making each other worse before they make each other better, this might be for you. If you thought the in-game romance was a little too easy and it should have been ten times more painful and difficult to convince Astarion he's worthy of love, this is definitely for you.
Set during the canonical events of Baldur's Gate 3.

Summary
Wyll’s lantern swung closer. Tav could see the gleam of his boots through the underbrush. He was only steps away.
“Do you think he’d be angry, pet?” Astarion mused. “If he found you like this? Would he be heartbroken? Or simply humiliated?”
Of course he wouldn't let her answer. He covered her mouth with one hand, the other pressing her down.
She clenched her jaw, wanting not to tremble beneath him. She should’ve been ashamed. But gods, it was hard to think when Astarion was like this—when he made her feel so alive.
His mouth grazed the back of her shoulder, then up her neck. “Should I bite your scruff while I fuck you in front of your boyfriend? Like a wild beast?”
-----
Astarion thinks seducing her will save him. Only, he isn’t as untouchable as he pretends, and she isn’t as innocent as he thinks—she has secrets sharp enough to cut them both open.Series

Summary
On the fifth night of their involuntary tadpole misadventure together, Monster Hunter Inara (Tav) clashes with the realm's most obvious vampire when he tries to take a clandestine bite of her. But as with every plan Astarion had come up in his unlife so far, it contains one step only. So what if this gremlin vampire cat actually is forced to face and deal with the consequences of his bite-y actions? Chaos and hilarity ensues, of course.
Or, tfw Astarion has slurped up the only person in camp willing to help him in spite of his vampie... everything, and now has to find a way to bring Inara back. Ideally before the others in camp wake up and bring out the stakes and torches.
A character-focused, introspective version of Bite Night and its events beyond with its serial numbers filed off, because canon is just a guideline anyway, and thus goes way beyond the mere scene. Because perhaps in between the hunger, flailing, misconceptions and bickering a first understanding between Inara and Astarion can be gained. One that actually transcended lifetimes.
Rating is for Chapter 1 only. Everything else is SFW.

Summary
Fate truly was the strangest thing, from getting tadpole-d to scouring the Sword Coast with unexpected new companions and friends, you truly had no idea what else awaited you.
Between the race against the clock, building friendships - and perhaps a little more? - you had to admit that something just a little weird was going on with your head. Something that had nothing to do with the tadpoles. Or, maybe you were just imagining it.
After all, it wasn't like you had massive gaps in your memory or anything of the sort.

Summary
Bailey looks back down at the man, spattered with crimson, eyes wide open in terror. He still has the top half of his head, miraculously, even if he was robbed of his life. They sigh, their heart heavy and hope he didn't have too many to leave behind. “I'll put it to good use, I promise.” They lean down and press his eyelids closed. “If you pray to any Gods, I hope they find you and keep you in good hands.”
Bailey wasn't a religious sort. Whatever they couldn't do with their own two hands they certainly wouldn't trust a God to do for them - but they respected those who valued the safety and guidance that came from worship.
“Hopefully they don't have anything in store for me, either.” Heaving a loud, long breath Bailey ventures forward, their shoes leaving tracks along the shoreline.
That was how it all would begin.
-----
A look into how an otherwise unseeming cook at the Blushing Mermaid gets mixed up in the affairs of Gods and their chosen. A chronicle of them finding friendship in unlikely places, falling in love with even unlikelier people and saving the world.
Covers the events of Act 1.

Summary
Astarion isn't used to kindness without having to pay a price for it. Especially after having his mind infected with a parasite, and meeting others who also suffer from it, he wouldn't think there'd be any inch of hospitality. Then he meets HER; she who smiles and laughs even after seeing the face of death at her door. One would believe a wayward soul like hers would be easy to pray upon, and that is certainly what Astarion plans to do. Still...there's something about her.

A beautiful series about falling in love and learning to love each other (and one self) regardless of past trauma and insecurities.
A favourite series and a must-read. Read all the tags and trigger-warnings (both Tav/Maeve and Astarion have plenty of trauma on their own) and I promise this series won't disappoint!

Summary
“An ally?” the drow blurts. “We were a breath away from spilling each other’s blood,” she continues in disbelief, searching Shadowheart’s eyes for the reason she would seemingly betray someone who saved her life for an odd, murderous stranger.
Astarion chimes in before Shadowheart can respond. “Don’t threaten me with a good time, darling,” he purrs.
Despite everything the drow and the vampire spawn have in common, Aldera and Astarion are at odds from the very moment they meet, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and — much to the drow's chagrin — unsavory companions.

Summary
“I know the Burlazaars,” Wyll confirmed, while Toska tried not to squirm, “but my father was more concerned with the menace than the intrigue, and for that reason we were not in their company much. I might have had barely a handful of interactions with their daughters over the course of my youth.”
“I’m not surprised, given the odious traditions I’ve heard about. I always wondered if the rumours were true.” Gale peered at the missive again, as if he expected it to surrender its secrets unopened. He was probably waiting for Toska to come free of her catatonic state and quench his curiosity. “Wonder why they’re calling on you, in the wake of all this.”
She could have asked the same question, for completely different reasons.
“Well,” Toska wheezed, “probably because Neve Burlazaar is my mother.”

Summary
She’s been avoiding him.
Good. Great, even! She was getting on his nerves anyway. Astarion has had quite enough of Miss Goody Two Shoes. Always helping everyone, always rescuing another stray. It was getting ridiculous. He wouldn’t be surprised if she decided to build an orphanage right there in their campsite.
Never mind he was planning on seducing her.
