Wilbur flopped onto the couch, legs stretched out as he grabbed his phone.
“You get the smaller room which is on the left there.” Wilbur pointed to a small, narrow hallway that had three doors in total. “The bathroom is across from your door. Rent’s due on the first.”
Dream raised a brow. “That’s it? No interview? No rules?”
Wilbur turned on the television in front of him with a remote. “I don’t care what you do as long as you pay your share. Just don’t touch my stuff.”
Dream considered that. No fake niceties, no over-the-top friendliness. Just two people coexisting. It was perfect.
“Alright, deal.” Dream said. “Should I come back tomorrow morning with my stuff?”
Wilbur waved him off. “Sure, sure. I’ll also give you a copy of the keys tomorrow too.”
It was almost too perfect.
He should’ve known there was a catch.

The mayor of Manberg had been in a divorce and several controversies. The people of the city pitied his poor seventeen year old son, and that included the people they knew. mayor Johnathan Schlatt's son's mother hadn't been seen in the city since his birth, and there were no shortage of rumors about it.
His divorce took a large amount of his money and used it to create and run the largest casino anywhere nearby. She played the victim and won everyone's sympathy. The public was borderline furious when Schlatt won custody of his son. She's still playing the victim, and doing everything she can to take his son from him.

The kingdoms of the Arctic and Essempi were on rocky terms at best. The crown prince of Essempi and the future general of the Arctic were very close friends, but the crown prince of the Arctic was not fond of the crown prince of Essempi, and Essempi's wasn't fond of him either.
Part of the conflict was caused by the fact that Essempi was a kingdom of magic and the Arctic had outlawed magic a long time ago. So tensions were often high, and they only continued to rise when the queen of the Arctic fell ill and whispers began to be heard throughout the kingdom that Essempi's crown prince was using magic within the Arctic's borders.
Or, Prince Technoblade is close friends with Prince Dream of another kingdom, but Dream is not well liked in the Arctic and Technoblade feels like he needs Dream.
Or or, Techno is struggling. Dream helps him. Therefore, Techno needs Dream to stay.
