As they settle into their new life, a new enemy with the ability to corrupt and manipulate negative energy emerges. After taking over the criminal underworld, they plan to take over New York City. The four antiheroes must now take on the entire criminal underworld if they want to take down Mr. Negative. Adam’s off in the Hamptons with his parents. Not sure if Dad’s going to cut his honeymoon short — I hope not. My band has the biggest gig of our lives in under two weeks. We’re opening for actual mega-stars. No pressure.
On the less exciting side: my bracers are gone. So is my fancy new armored suit. Or rather… not gone. More like absorbed by my body. Along with a mysterious black ooze that also got absorbed. It hasn’t killed me yet. So that’s nice. Feels like a future-me problem.
Oh, and the Sin-Eater’s still out there. The Avengers are scattered. And it’s just little old me protecting New York — with a little backup from Miles Morales, a.k.a. The Prowler.

“So it’s a Venom thing,” he surmises. Even as, on the screen the irrelevant minor extra do exactly what people like them always do. Going out of their way to become workplace casualties.

Not the usual situation of asking someone out (it’s not like Deadpool was hoping for a proposal anyway after just having his heart broken by this very same man), but it’s not likely to Wade decline the request. Even if it’s not in the conditions he wants (as real boyfriends, could even be fuck-buddies) he finds it very hard to deny. On the streets and left as a living ghost, he hasn't given up on being Spider-Man. He hasn't given up on other people. He's only given up on himself, and that's still a tragedy. But even at his lowest, he's always what every hero aspires to be. It doesn't hurt that both Dr. Doom and the Incredible Hulk are stuck in the same mess.
A slow burn superhero story about Peter Parker starting from the lowest point I can possibly put him in, and battling his way to the very top. This is going to be a long one, and while it starts off in a sad place, the overall direction will always be to somewhere more positive. There will be setbacks. Not everything will work out. But my promise is that he'll always be in a better place than where he started.
