The wizarding world gave the previous 7th year students a decision. Take your N.E.W.Ts / go straight into a career or return to Hogwarts to receive your final year of schooling. Hermione finds herself back on the Hogwarts train after her mind healers put her onto a medical probation. Even though she had ginny and luna with her, Hermione finds herself not wanting to return without Harry and unsure how to navigate her new housing dorm.

From a young age, his mother would urge him to think about those words whenever he made big decisions. During the worse moments of his life, it was those few words that he spoke aloud in his mind. Henry’s jaw tightened, his gaze sharp now, assessing. “You look like hell,” he said bluntly, voice dropping into something firm. “When was the last time you slept?"
Alex rolled his eyes, trying for an easy smirk. “Jesus, Henry, thanks for the compliment.”
Henry didn’t even blink. “Alexander.”
The use of his full name sent a shiver down Alex’s spine, and he suddenly felt very, very seen. He fought the instinct to look away, to deflect, to play it off, but Henry wasn’t letting up
“Answer me.”
Alex swallowed hard. “I’ve been sleeping,” he said, lifting a shoulder. “Just, you know, finals season. Busy."
Henry’s gaze darkened. “That wasn’t an answer. Try again."
Alex felt his throat tighten. He could talk his way out of a press scandal, he could debate foreign policy in front of a crowd, but this—this level of scrutiny, from Henry of all people—made him feel exposed in a way he wasn’t prepared for.
“I dunno, A couple hours here and there. Not a big deal.”(Henry has to go to England for 3 full weeks, right in the middle of finals season and election campaigning: Alex doesn't take it well)
