    The brighter the light, the darker the shadows. And in a super-powered society, those shadows are dark indeed. But whilst the world desperately trained more and more heroes, making that light brighter and brighter, the prestigious hero school, UA, had another idea. Why not tackle the problem at its source?

    And so was born the infamous class 1-A. Would-be criminals from all over the country were selected, and a group of twenty now roam the halls of the school, alongside the heroes of the next generation.

    Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:

    "You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...

    "Let's be heroes."

His parents become abusive alcoholics and school isn't much better. He knows he's not the only person being abused and mistreated (an understatement) for their quirk or quirk status, he mingles with them daily. So he develops a plan. A plan to take over Japan and make it better. But to make sure it's executed perfectly he'll need some help and he'll need to leave. So he does. And wouldn't you know, along the way he finds just the help he needs.

    This year, UA is experimenting with a new Young Villain and Criminal Reformation Program. Instead of twenty hero students, the first year hero class will be a combination of both hero and villain students....The hero students will have one year to find the villains in their midst in order to escape Eraserhead’s expulsion. For the villains, this is their last shot— it’s blending in or it’s prison.

    Midoriya Izuku wants nothing more than to be the first quirkless hero. After failing the practical hero exam, he’s shocked when he receives a letter telling him that he has been offered a tentative position in the illustrious Class 1-A.

    There’s just one problem: Midoriya has been accepted to Class 1-A as a villain, and he has absolutely no idea why.
