The entire day had felt like a dream; a nightmare that served to fulfill all his fears of Heaven’s treatment of Aziraphale. He’d been trying to get him to see for centuries and even now he wouldn’t understand the truth of it.
But that part had ended splendidly, and all was well. Hell hadn’t thrown him – or Aziraphale as him – into the pit and they both escaped relatively unscathed.
He supposed later that it must have been the relief, the sudden lack of pressure and the ability to just be that was so abrupt they were dizzy. They’d gotten outrageously drunk and somehow ended up tumbling into bed together. In his euphoria Crowley kissed his angel and his angel kissed him back and the next thing he knew they were naked and the nightmare was gone from his mind-

He always tries to ignore their faces, but it’s always pointless. The faces of Seonghwa’s audience are always the same, and always burned into his mind. Their empty, hungry, desperate eyes stare up at him with bated breath as he smiles warmly. They’re expectant, tracking every move he makes, and finally, Seonghwa takes a deep breath. There’s no need for an introduction. These people all know exactly who and what Seonghwa is and what he’ll give them.
He parts his lips and begins to sing, a sweet, gentle melody that seems to linger in the air like something to be held onto. The audience’s eyes soften, their expressions shifting to those of perfect contentment as they feel a rush like no other. Seonghwa soothes their anxieties with his voice, lulling them into a waking dream come true as he sings in a language they both understand fully and cannot hope to decipher.
His listeners always come away happier than ever. Seonghwa never feels worse.
Seonghwa's voice is literally that of an angel, like a drug more potent than any other. The last thing he wants is to keep singing like he does every night, but after a nighttime ambush, that quickly becomes the least of his worries.
