Summary
Dear T.A.,
Your voice kept me company last night. You made me cry, in the best way.
Please read Neruda next?
—Neil (the 8AM guy)As a soft-spoken college student with too many thoughts and too little confidence, Todd finds solace in the quiet hours of his anonymous late-night poetry radio show, Between the Lines He never expects anyone to really listen—until someone does.
Neil Perry is everything Todd isn't: charismatic, popular, and the energetic host of Rise & Shine, the campus morning radio show that everyone adores. But when Neil stumbles across Between the Lines, he becomes captivated by the unseen poet who reads like he’s speaking straight from the heart.
Sticky notes begin to appear. Song dedications follow. And as the snow falls heavier outside, two voices begin to find each other through the static.
An Anderperry story about poetry, vulnerability, and falling in love with someone before you even know their name.

Summary
The year was 1974. Nixon was out of office. West Germany won the World Cup, to everyone’s shock. Todd Anderson was 31 years old.
It had been over 15 years since Todd had first walked through the hallowed halls of Welton Academy. The graduating class of ‘61 was now no more than a framed photo, shamefully hung in the far corner of the display case, out of sight of new students. Better that, than them asking questions about the “in remembrance” line engraved on the plaque. 1974 was a year of change, 1974 was a year of new beginnings. And in the early fall of 1974, for the first time in 15 years, Todd went an entire day without thinking of Neil Perry.
But just as soon as he fell asleep, after a mundane, standard, happy day, it happened again.
The dream.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Or: Todd Anderson thinks back on all the unanswered questions from his complicated relationship with Neil Perry, remembering the weeks leading up to Neil's death, and the two dreams that have haunted the past 15 years of his life, and decides to get some answers for once.

(MY ORIGINAL WORK GOT DELETED BY ACCIDENT :( SORRY IF THIS CAUSES ANY CONFUSION OR INCONVENIENCE!)
Todd is still struggling even after conquering his crippling social anxiety, now carrying the pressure of adulthood and an office job as well as the desire to start a family. However, he receives a call that an important figure in his life had passed away - an although at the time it seemed like the worst thing he could hear, it ends up being the best thing that could've ever happened to him.
This is set a couple of years after the original film (1965-???) and they are all around 23-24 at the beginning.
some characters can be SLIGHTLY OOC, but I tried my best to be canon compliant with their personalities.Although it will include other ships, this is primarily an ANDERPERRY fic and will be centered around Neil and Todd.
Going off on what's canon in both the film and book, but we're going to act like Knox was never a weirdo!
(And Neil Perry never committed suicide ofc)I will try to post once a week but nothing is guaranteed.
THIS IS A SLOWBURN, THERE WILL BE NO ROMANCE UNTIL LATER ON!

Summary
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Love, or longing, or whatever this thing in his chest was — it wasn’t meant to look like this, feel like this. He’d grown up being told what it was supposed to be about : a girl with soft hair and a soft smile, someone you could write home about, someone your parents would nod approvingly at across a dinner table. Something clean, expected, natural. And he’d tried, God, he’d tried to want that.

Summary
Todd has just essentially volunteered to die. It doesn’t matter how much padding the Capitol applies to it, it’s true. He’s got nothing to rely on except an overly reserved mentor and his own instincts. Not much — but he’ll need to figure out how to use them, or he’s good as dead.
His odds are still better than Neil’s, who was reaped straight out of the bowl. With his lack of skills, Neil knows he’s practically dead already. He’s decided to dedicate his energy to something other than his own survival — sending his District’s volunteer back home.
Neither of them can ever be fully prepared for what’ll happen in that arena, but they can decide how to fight it — together or not.

Summary
Neil Perry was six years old the first time he felt the sting of his father’s cruel words seep like poison into his skin. In a local supermarket in the small town of Wilmington, Vermont that the Perrys called home, the neatly stacked apples on the quaint wooden display were fresh and crisp.
“Rose, what are you doing still holding his hand in public like that? He’s in the first grade now, he ought to start to become more independent. Boys don’t hold their mother’s hands at this age,” he sneered.☆☽☆
Todd Anderson knew all about shame. If there was one feeling that always returned to him like home, year after year as he got older, it was shame. Shame for feeling different. Shame for hardly being able to get a sentence out without stuttering. Shame for being inferior, inferior to Jeffrey.
A mostly canon-compliant DPS story, folliowing the events of their time at Welton and focusing more on the inner thoughts of characters (mostly Neil and Todd). Focuses on Neil and Todd's relationship, Todd's issues with anxiety, Neil's issues with depression and not being able to follow his own path. Despite attempting suicide, Neil lives, and the story continues to the end of the poets year of school.

Summary
Todd Anderson enters Welton his junior year believing that everything inside of him is worthless and embarrassing. He doesn’t want the world to see him because he’s afraid of being a disappointment. He’s not used to being accounted for.
Neil Perry is a fine student at Welton. He lives to please others. He lives to serve his family and to play the part of the dutiful son and the golden boy student. When he finds something to live for that isn’t what his father wants he feels alive for the first time. He begins to live for himself.
Or
Neil and Todd change each other’s lives, and fall in love along the way.

Summary
It starts with a poem and a proposal on a rainy evening.
They can’t get married. Not legally. But they can stand beneath the trees with the rest of the Dead Poets circling them like constellations, and Mr Keating in the front row wiping his eyes unsubtly.
Later, there’s a kid. She has a bookshelf far too big for her room and insists her dads fell in love because of poetry, which is technically true.
This is a story about love that doesn’t need paperwork to be real — just a porch light left on, a cat named Walt Whitman, and forever promised over cups of tea.

“Come on,” Neil coaxed, bouncing on his heels. “No one’s watching.”
“You’re watching.”
“I’m not a ‘one’. I’m a Neil.”

Todd’s never danced before—not really—but Neil’s grinning at him like it’s the most natural thing in the world, like their tiny dorm room could be a ballroom if they wanted it to be. There’s a scratchy jazz record spinning on Neil’s old player, the lights are low, and the world outside might as well not exist.Neil offers his hand. Todd takes it.
