Being a scholar struggling with mental health isn't easy. The days feel like they're repeating themselves, and my stomach has been getting an unusually sour feeling recently. But when a student that I've never seen before keeps appearing, the cycle is broken. Who are they? Why is that hood always covering their face? Why are they always wearing gloves? When the student reveals themselves to be a skeleton from another universe, I jump at the opportunity to leave this place and join their gang of misfits. (This story is platonic and the main character is a teenager. Let it be known that this is from an OC pov, but is written in a way that it could be a reader insert, so I tagged it as such. They often wake up with a need to explore consuming them, so they do what they do best, go off into random universes and multiverse, and well, fuck around. Problem is: now they’ve caught the eye of a certain God, who looks a bit too much like a slime covered octopus for you to take them seriously. Said octopus has decided that they’ll die before they let you out of sight and is now chasing you through the multiverse.
Basically: You’re a literal chaos incarnation, and you’ve caught Nightmare’s eye. We don’t know if he wants you dead, or if he just wants you—but you fucked around, and now you’ll probably find out.

Error watches, unflinching, as the skeleton's giant knife materializes, slicing through the stillness of the void. The vibrant glitches around his fingers pulsate more vividly in response, mirroring the tension. Despite the display of power, Error’s demeanor remains composed, almost amused by the dramatic reaction.
"You can call me Error. As for how I arrived here," he gestures loosely around them with a hand threaded with glitches, "I travel where the code calls, where anomalies beckon. Where the multiverse needs cleaned of anything that could harm it, and this place," he pauses, glancing around the stark whiteness, much like his own home, "Screamed for attention."
His gaze settles back on Cross, the colorful chaos of his form stark against the void. "You, however, are an interesting anomaly. Fighting so fiercely, clinging to existence in a world that has seemingly been erased." Error hummed, eyes still searching.

NIGHTMARE has everything he could ever want- power, godhood, a bloodline, total control, and a partner who worships his every step. He had a few inconveniences along the way, but he could handle them with ease. His focus is now on raising his daughter and taking care of his wife and team. Despite being much more relaxed, he's still a deadly threat.
CORE FRISK is the only surviving hero. The Star Sanses and even Error are either dead, infected, or brainwashed. They're running the DRA, the Doodlesphere Rescue Alliance, and have three current goals. One, find a cure to the parasite running rampant through the multiverse. Two, find a way to save their friends from Nightmare's mind control. Three, kill the king himself and restore peace to everyone. But that . . . is much more difficult than they can manage.
DREAM is the heartless ruler of the Omega Timeline. Trapped under Nightmare's spell, he has no empathy for anyone. He hasn't had any for the past 7 years. Yet something still haunts him. The cursed gold heart locket he always wore, that he hated, yet couldn't find the heart to get rid of. It gave him the motivation to fight back, so did the corruption in his soul and his smoking addiction slowly killing him.

”The fuck do they mean ‘Sell you’? What the hell?” Killer snapped, his soul twisting in his mounting agitation. Horror growled low, eyesockets narrowed while Nightmare and Error trembled with rage. It’s Dust that puts the pieces together and asks the dreaded question.
“Cross…were you a child bride?”
The question hangs heavy in the air, no one daring to even breathe. Nightmare and Error are hoping beyond hope that Cross will denying it, that their youngest hasn’t been subjected to such atrocities. Their souls break when Cross gives a small miserable nod.

Passive didn't remember him. Passive was never him.
He attempts to join shattered, to keep his child safe. But shattered didn't want to risk killer's life.
So he advised killer to leave this multiverse, and find a safer one. For his and his child's sake.
He travels and finds many, many multiverses that wouldn't take him..or his child.
But, when he accidentally falls into a portal, leading to a nightmare variants home...
Will he find himself a home there?
Or will he and his child have to keep looking?

Killer had to have heard him wrong. He MUST have misheard Dust. Only... he didn't. And that thought filled him with more panic than an unexpected RESET, because... how else was he supposed to handle the casual comment about his brother dusting himself?
OR
Killer grossly misunderstands something Dust says, and a series of events happen to feed his worries. Really, Dust should've thought about his wording a little more.
