Haley loves her life, she is young, beautiful and in her prime. Yeah she was stuck in this small town but hey whatever she did fine, modelling hadn’t been going as well but she’d get it sorted. Haley was set and content that was for sure, nothing was wrong and she was ready for the life that was expected of her, she doubted anything could change her mind on that. She'd heard the farmers daughter had moved to town which was... annoying she guessed she'd have to avoid another smelly farmer.

Ever since the new farmer girl arrived in town, Haley started feeling things she never felt before.
It all got worse when Sofia started bringing gifts to her. Every day, she would find herself waiting for the farmer to show up at her door. She pretended to not be affected by it, to not have any interest in the girl. In fact, she was lying to herself, telling her mind and racing heart she just liked to be spoiled. But even if she was brutally honest with the farmer girl — and sometimes just straight up mean — she always came back to her doorstep with a smile.
But it all went downhill when she found out the farmer had been gifting other girls in town. Poppies for Penny, amethysts for Abigail...what once made her feel special, was being shared with others.
All those days she thought she had been warming up to Sofia, being genuinely happy to have her attention, they were all gone in a second. And once the farmer showed up with another stupid sunflower in her hand, Haley couldn't help but feel frustrated.
"Urgh, this is such a...stupid gift"

It's the last year of High school Chisa has to endure before being able to take care of the farm with grandpa full time, she's grateful for Sebastian, Abigail and Sam being by her side but it doesn't make the gridball guy's insults any less painful or preppy girl's whispers less grating. To set off a bad year to a worse start, she somehow got roped into tutoring Alex, who seems just as displeased with the arrangement. But if keeping his grades up high enough to stay on the gridball teams mean he'd get his friends to lay off her back, she would take that chance!
