Ganji groaned softly, his irritation bubbling up again despite his best efforts to keep it at bay. He squeezed his eyes shut, pressing the heels of his hands against them as though he could block out the chaotic thoughts spiraling through his mind. Every word felt like a splinter digging deeper into his skin. “You don’t know,” Ganji muttered, his voice low but laced with frustration. “I’m—damn it, William, I’m alone in this. No one else loses it like I do. No one else… no one else freaks out like this.”
