Summary
Sun Wukong was a name that brought fear and respect to those that could convince others that it was their name. It had felt like the right name to have, a persona to fall into when needed. Then again, climbing the Flower Fruit Mountain during the coldest winter on the rumor that the higher one goes, the more fruits they would see, had also seemed like the right thing to do. But then again, what was Hua supposed to know about the mythical Monkey King? Most certainly not that he'd chase her back home!

Summary
Wukong awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, “Can’t we just say we’re friends again? At least for now?”
Macaque’s tongue angrily twisted in his mouth. He couldn’t hide the pained look on his face no matter how hard he tried. Now that their feelings for each other were out in the open, the idea of just being friends made him feel sick to his stomach. His bitter tone sharpens his next words, “Do friends kiss friends?”
Wukong’s tail continued to swish; he felt as if he’d just been backed into a corner. His eyes met with Macaque’s prying gaze, “Well, some fr—“ He’s cut off by the tips Macaque’s fingers being pressed against his lips. The sensation caused his breath to hitch, a reaction that is not lost to Macaque. He was struggling to find a more appropriate argument. “I’m just trying to be realistic.”
Macaque can’t stop himself from desperately moving closer to Wukong, “So am I.”
___Or: Wukong and Macaque desperately want to be together, but suffer tremendously cause they don’t know how to deal with their traumas in a healthy way.

Summary
Macaque awakens on an airship, no memories, no recollection of the horrible injury across his skull, and a strange curiosity for the golden monkey that keeps looking at him.
Told there are three rings that need finding, Macaque does his best to help save the world, while also piecing together the fractured pieces of his mind.
As well as discover how this happened in the first place. Kind of difficult when everyone around you is hesitant to talk about it. -

"While I was gone, I got the urge to impregnate you," Macaque admitted bluntly, still nuzzling the back of Wukong’s neck, feeling the way Wukong’s fur rises at his words, heartbeat quickening.
"Oh?" Wukong starts, though the word cracks a bit. He swallows. "How noble of you, resisting the urge."
The tentacles shift and so does Wukong’s mind, conjuring images that make the lump in his throat grow.
Macaque chuckled, "who said anything about resisting? I'm asking for permission."

Summary
Following the journey of the not so lone warrior Macaque freshly above the ground he was tethered to.
He finds himself in a world changing fast, with the fall of kingdoms and old laws and the rise of technology and cities.
Never in centuries did he expect himself to lead the life he currently has. Not at all, after-all a peaceful and content life was something far too undeserving for the likes of him but for the longest time he feels like he could finally move on.
With his son MK and his friends and the shadow play dojo, he built a quiet life. Out of sight and out of mind from his past. But all that he worked so hard for was all about to change...with his past catching up-to him in the most unexpected way.

Also there isnt a lot of romance. I want to get into Macaque's character more, his personal stuff, without Wukong.

Police!AU Sun Wukong and Six Eared Macaque working on a big illegal demon auction case with The Intern MK and Chang'e in the background. It just so happened that Wukong had to be the slave in the auction and Macaque was working undercover as one of the noble, as expected, chaos ensues.

Summary
“Hey Monkey King what, uh, what are you doing here?” MK joins in, nervous. He peeks out from behind Macaque to see the monkie’s smile grow larger, almost too large. It brings a shiver down MK’s spine.
… And when did it get so cold?
MK grips his furry arms, trying to find some warmth. Surprisingly, it doesn’t work. Even his new, fluffy fur can’t stop the weird coldness. They let a gasp out and white air is breathed into the supposedly summer night.
Uh oh.
“Mon-” MK goes to speak up, but the king's smile stretches up like a horror movie, shutting them up in fear. Nevermind. This is not his beloved mentor.

Remember the coldest winter AU? I love the concept and thought I'd take a crack at it! This is also inspired by a few others works but mainly does have my own lore I made up.

"Please," Wukong repeats, and then gives Macaque the look, the one Macaque has never been able to say no to. And Macaque crumples. His one weakness has always been Sun Wukong.
His hands move, lifting Wukong up off the ground— and Wukong falls into a fit of delirious giggles because while he could do the same for Macaque, it's always fun to be the one carried— and heading back to Wukong’s part of the cave and, most importantly, the bed.
He's laid down gently, as if one wrong move could break him. Wukong rolls his eyes and forcefully tugs Macaque down, because even if he's feverish, he won't break.

Mk it's just a kid who (not)father is the best chef of noodles, the (not)boyfriend of his dad is a scholar of Monkey King' and his best friend come from dragons.
Also Mk's shadow seems to be alive.

Summary
Being the Monkey King's successor wasn't like anything MK thought it would be.
His mentor was so gentle and soft with his training, like he was terrified he'd get hurt. Not that he doesn't appreciate the concern, but he doesn't want to be babied by some millennial old monkey man.
There was something off about his mentor too, he carried a deep sadness with him, it followed him like a dark shadow. It lessened whenever he visited.MK is glad to help with whatever he's dealing with, but he didn't sign up to be an old monkey's emotional support, he wants to be a hero.
With Monkey King phoning in on his training, MK finds another mentor, a snake demon who generously offers (after he annoys her into it) to teach him what Monkey King won't. However, she isn't as pure intended as he assumes, and she has a bone to pick with the Monkey King.Once the Lady Bone Demon is released, MK gets dragged into a whole new world of trouble he barely understands.
Much bigger things are happening behind the scenes, and MK's scaly new "mentor" is pulling all his strings.
