Inspired by my Sakamoto x Chizuru work "After The Fire," this one-shot explores the time Chizuru was held by her captor, after Hijikata’s death and before Sakamoto rescued her. It focuses on the long, tense dialogs between her and the sadistic captor who kept her, showing her quiet defiance.
Mostly, it’s a reminder of how strongly Chizuru always clings to hope and how strong I truly believe she is, even in the darkest moments.
Notes: Even though I know this work won’t get much feedback, I still believe it’s one of my best pieces in terms of the writing style and the psychological rhythm.- Language:
