Stiles meets her second. Ash sticks out like a sore thumb in Beacon Hills. She looks like a walking advertisement for Hot Topic. The gentle smile and southern accent are the last things he expects. He thinks maybe Scott‘s just never met an emo kid before.
The sheriff meets her third. He gets a call a few days before Christmas about a strange truck that keeps parking overnight behind an apartment complex with a teenaged girl sleeping in the cab. She gives some excuse about getting in a fight with her parents and looking for a place to hide out for a few days. His gut tells him there‘s more to her story, but he chooses to believe her in the moment. A few days later, he comes across Ashley‘s truck again.
Turns out, Ashley Lenore is an emancipated minor who travelled cross-country to get as far away from her parents as possible. And that‘s how Noah ends up as the parent/guardian of two hyperactive teenagers.
