After a decade (more or less) abandoned in Pandora's Vault, completely alone, Dream escapes with the help of a god and a demon, hellbent on getting revenge on his server for what they did to him. But things are far from simple, as he barters with both them and his own broken body for more time alive -- and only get harder when he calls in a favor with an old friend.
Because his Warden is hunting him.
Only one question remains: how long can he keep this up?

Summary
“Captain? There are… claw marks, on the back of the ship. Around your window.” Scott looked where he was pointing, and sure enough, there they were, just where the siren had clawed her way up that night.
“Eugh, that’s… disturbing. It must have been the siren we saw.” For some reason, he didn’t quite want to tell the others about the conversation he’d had with her. “We’ll… paint over them, or something.”
There's no good reason why a human should be talking to a siren, but there's no good reason why a siren shouldn't be able to capture their prey, either (and there's definitely no good reason for getting this attached).

Summary
Like a fox in a trap, gnawing off its own leg. Tasting blood—Tommy had drank plenty of it, sure, but it was different, somehow, when it was Dream’s—when it was his—at the back of his throat, sharp with iron. Sharp as the metal that bound it. And then—and then it was gone, and he was free. Staring down at this—this thing that had once been so close it was like a part of him, and now it was bloody and lifeless and no longer his. What was left for him, but to stumble away, weightless and unbalanced?
You were not mistaken, Mother; this man too is Alexander. Tommy kills Dream for the second time. It doesn't stick this time either, but for different reasons.

Written for Febuwhump 2025, for the prompt "vocal chords"!
Quackity pulled out a hammer and nails, now in the cell and, though he didn’t reach for Dream yet, his presence overwhelmed the small space—when had he stepped in? Had Dream been zoning out again?—and Dream pushed himself even farther into the unforgiving wall, aforementioned traitorous brain immediately conjuring images of those nails in his hands and feet—
The image solidified and he suddenly wanted to laugh. He’d never thought that Quackity was a religious man, and even if he was, he was sure Dream no longer qualified as a saint. But this did look awfully like the makings of a cross.
In Pandora’s Vault, Quackity finds out that Dream was once a siren and removes his larynx. It's not... a pleasant experience.
