Every family must send an alpha or beta to the army that is being raised quickly by Lan, Jin, and Nie, against the invading Wen clan, after they had destroyed the Jiang so scarily efficiently and suddenly. The only reminisces of the Jiang, is alpha Jiang Cheng who is determined to rebuild the clan, and omega Wei Ying, who is equally as determined to help his brother. The only option is to go in his place to the training grounds for soldiers. He must go disguised as an alpha, since omegas are expected to only marry and bear children.
The alpha tasked with training the new recruits, is Lan Wangji, nephew of the war general Lan Qiren and brother to the Imperial Emperor Lan Xichen.
