“Who?” Steph asked.
Bruce stared incredulously. “Dr. Fate.”
Jason's jaw dropped. “Wait, what? Hold up, man, you- You're allowed to just hit up a freakin’ god?”
“Under these circumstances, yeah,” the guy said primly. “I've got connections, little bird, and I've dealt with him before, much to my Bruce's annoyance.”
Bruce pulled the Cowl off with a glare. “Dr. Fate is not someone you can just call at your whim.”
A snort came from the helmet. “He is if I'm at risk of collapsing the multiverse. Now, y’gonna let me use your fancy-ass supercomputer to call the Justice League, or do I have'ta call Constantine?”
Bruce looked like he'd bitten into a lemon. “We'll take the Zeta.”

Opening his eyes, Clark was stunned to find his would-be-killer knocked out on the ground in front of him. Standing over the downed kidnapper was none other than Bruce Wayne, completely free of all his restraints.
He locked eyes with Clark, and there was nothing of the airheaded playboy in his eyes. In its place was a steely focus, the likes of which Clark had only ever seen from one person before.

The Justice League is called in to rescue Bruce Wayne after he gets kidnapped at a gala, and Bruce can only watch his team get beat up for so long before stepping in.

He had a candidate in mind—a great one at that. Someone with unparalleled agility, unwavering determination, and a personality that could light up any room. His best friend.
“And with that, we will be moving on to the nominations portion of this meeting.” Superman announced, bringing his speech to a close. “Anyone with a potential recruit in mind, please raise your hand.”
Wally’s hand went up before Superman had even finished his sentence. “I have one,” he said, his grin wide. “Nightwing.”
Typical Nightwing joins the JLA without anyone knowing of his relation to Batman

Summary
Batman fights a new villain in Gotham's famous crime alley, only to be hit with a truth serum that lasts for a week, and Superman, oblivious enough to this, hears that his good FRIEND needs assistance, cue to him bringing (convincing) Batman to the watchtower for further testing and for Batman fighting the urge to shut the fuck up and try not to spill any of his obvious and undying love for the man of fucking steel.
orBatman confesses to Superman in front of everyone in the JL and will probably cry about it to Alfred when he gets home.
