And there are already such rumors about us. Should anything happen that could confirm those rumors, I would be in great danger from all your admirers."
He just wants to share a dance with his partner. Jayce invented Hextech, surely he can find a way to make this happen.

Summary
They settle down, bodies close and bowls in laps. A heaviness slowly creeps back into the air, subtle but lying in wait. Viktor isn’t sure whether Jayce was keeping things purposely light for his own sake or Viktor’s. He wouldn’t be surprised either way, especially not at the latter.
Jayce cares. About everyone and everything all of the time. No matter how much he’d like to pretend otherwise, he has an innate need to care about what seems to be anything but himself. Larger than life, inwardly and outwardly. A physically broad man, strong and towering, who postures himself so as not to appear intimidating. Someone who shares pieces of himself like segments of a clementine. An offering; an apology, as if his very existence is something that needs to be forgiven. Jayce gives and gives and gives.
It will be either his salvation or his damnation.
Viktor would know; he has looked in a mirror.
Jayce overworks himself. Viktor takes care of him and gets him to open up about how he's feeling. A couple minutes of rest turns into much, much more.
