Summary
You’ve seen a lot of broken people. But this one’s different, the kind of fragile that looks permanent. She tells you five killers are hunting her, and she talks about them like she knows what their breath smells like. You log it all down, play the calm agent, and promise her she’s safe. It’s what you’re paid to do.
But the files don’t add up, the timelines don’t match, and now you’re dreaming about the people your witness swore were after her. You start seeing them too, in reflections, in crowds, in the corner of your damn eye, and you tell yourself it’s stress. You’re not crazy. You’re just… dedicated. Right?
Except you’re slipping. You’re frustrated, and you hate yourself for caring this much. You start digging outside of work, like a total hypocrite, because you know you’re not supposed to. And somehow you end up surrounded by four strangers on “vacation,” all smiles and weirdly familiar faces, calling themselves her old school buddies.
You should really be better at connecting dots.

Summary
Victoria smiles, confusingly overwhelmed by this small act of kindness. She takes a Reese's peanut butter cup. McKay clicks her tongue at her. “Take at least three, you probably just gave that man fifteen more years to live.”
Victoria shakes her head, embarrassed, but she grabs a Dove chocolate and a pack of M&M’s. “Fifteen years, you really think?"
“Who knows.” She looks at Victoria from where she's leaning against the counter, ripping open an Almond Joy. “But what I do know is you caught something that changed that man’s life for the better. And he didn't thank you, so I am.”

Summary
“I usually have pretty good judgment,” Garcia continues. “I stay calm, I think clearly, and I make logical choices. But when you came to me with extremely reasonable concerns about someone I’ve worked with for a long time, I snapped at you and shut you down. You deserved patience, and advice, and respect,” Garcia admits, “and I’m sorry.”
Trinity takes a moment to digest all of this, then nods a little, then takes a half-step closer as a sign of trust or whatever. “Thank you,” she says quietly and finds Garcia’s eyes. “I really… I appreciate all of that. Thank you.”
She watches Garcia’s posture relax slightly, then watches Garcia take her own small step forward, then watches Garcia’s expression shift into something that makes Trinity’s breath catch.
“Can I make it up to you with a cocktail?”

Whitaker has been left in the dark by his colleagues about the more, messy, side of the ER. He decides that he must prove that he's not as clueless and hopeless when it comes to flirting and hooking up in the workplace as they all think. So, in an attempt to disrupt the betting pool that doubts his abilities, he choses least the expected options as his targets. In the end though, he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Summary
It’s been two years since the first case of the Great Plague was recorded, and one year since the Silence began. Despite this, and despite the fact that he can’t remember the last time he heard from his family, Lance still holds out hope for finding them. Keith, on the other hand, thinks holding out hope for anything is useless. He hasn’t had the best of luck with depending on people in his life, after all. Which is maybe why it’s so surprising when he finds himself depended on Lance and everyone else they come across.
