Summary
Tony hadn’t been completely lying. He did have a problem, one that involved Peter, which is exactly why he can’t help Tony solve the problem. But trying to hide that from Peter was quickly becoming another problem.
Tony didn’t want to worry Peter, but he wasn’t sure how to go about his problem without worrying Peter.
Allowing Peter to keep coming and going like normal wasn’t working, as evidenced by Peter immediately clocking that something was wrong. But now, if he were to suddenly put some distance between them and suddenly stop seeing him, it would only make Peter worry more and probably assume that he did something wrong, and then both of them would be spiraling.
Tony wasn’t sure what to do.
That wasn’t true. He knew exactly what he should do. The whole problem could easily be solved with just a quick sentence.
(Or: Tony FINALLY realizes he loves Peter as his own, and is slowly working up to directly admitting it to Peter.

Chimney winces but presses on. “Eddie…” He hesitates, glancing at Karen like he’s begging her for an out. She nods firmly. No turning back now. “Buck is dead.”
The line goes silent. A heavy, eerie silence that settles over the room like a shroud. She knows what Eddie must be feeling right now—the cold shock, the hollow ache, the frantic disbelief. She remembers how it felt when Chim had told her Hen was dead, how her world had stopped spinning for one agonizing moment. Her hands curl into fists against the table. This is fine. This is part of the plan.
But then there’s a screech through the phone, followed by an extended, blaring honk.
Karen’s stomach drops. Her eyes dart to Hen’s, wide with alarm.
Fuck.
OR: When Eddie leaves for Texas on bad terms with Buck, their friends can't help but meddle.

Aizawa looked down at both his top students. Katsuki Bakugo glared back with intense crimson eyes, nothing more than a scowl on his face. Izuku Midoriya stood next to him, a little closer than the hero would have every thought possible without getting his head bit off by the blonde.
He knew why though.
“You two are a couple.” He stated.
Izuku choked on his spit as he tried to sputter out little lies, hands franticly waving in the air like he was trying to rewind time and fix what was done. Katsuki on the other hand was calm, cool and collected. There had been bets going on around the staff about whether they were secretly a couple while playing some act and now it was time to see if he was going to win. Who would break first?
His money was on Katsuki Bakugo.
“M-Mr. A-Aizawa! It’s not—no! W-we w-were—Kachan!”

“This is going to break these damn extras.” Izuku sighed, but before he could start his argument, Katsuki went on. “They will never be able to go back to their regular innocent lives, we are going to devastate them, Izuku.”
“I know!” He tried hard not to shout, but the words just forced their way out. “I know.” He repeated, calmer. “But we have to do this. We have to. They have spent their whole lives cushioned and coddled by the good side of quirk society.”
Katsuki’s jaw was so tight, Izuku swore his teeth must be aching from the force of it. When he spoke, he did so through his teeth with pain clear on his features.
“You get it, don’t you; what you’re asking me to do? Izuku I-...you’re asking me to hurt you again. You’re asking me to be your abuser, again.”

OR: My take on 'Compassion Week' - where the hero students have to do presentations on why a villain might become a villain. Izuku and Katsuki decide to pick Quirklessness, and their presentation is...enlightening.
