Summary
When the pain fades, the memories come flowing in like a muddy river. It takes a while for them to clear up, but once they do I find myself becoming lost in them, like holding my breath for a bit too long. As my awareness fades, I find myself reliving them, sensations and all.

The fic I should have written and posted first. Ryan dies, and Orion wakes up in the world of Pokémon as a newborn with nothing but a few strong memories about game and anime canon to go off of to survive. The only problem? He wasn't born during any of the known canon periods, but instead about 17 years prior to the start of the anime, with no knowledge about what occurs during that time.

Summary
Orion likes to help people, first and foremost.
Using all of the knowledge he has at his disposal to help his Pokémon grow, using the Ranger training given to him by his parents to help those in the wild, and using the powers he's found himself with, he often finds himself in situations that one really should try to avoid. It's not like he'd have a choice, but the powers that be appreciate his cooperation nonetheless. His friends, on the other hand... well...
Given the opportunity, they'd have some words with certain people. And certain Legendary Pokémon.

The Council had had less than three full days’ notice that Initiate Kenobi had been demanded back by his parents before the date their “emmisaries” were going to arrive to claim him. Three days hadn’t been much, not nearly long enough, but they’d tried.
Three days went by—more than enough time to reach Stewjon from Coruscant, even with the hazards in the densely populated Deep Core... Yaddle started to feel a sense of disquiet, of unease.

“My name is Connor. Don’t worry, I’m not a—”
“HUMAN!”
Connor audibly groans. Even as he knows he’ll be pursued soon if he isn’t already, he takes a moment to pinch the bridge of his nose, then looks back. The logical thing to do would be start preemptively running. Instead, he glances back and shouts, “Android, actually!”
An energy spear shoots through the air, passing not an inch away from his face and lodging itself in the wall nearby. Judging by that, and the angry yelling coming from its thrower, Connor decides it may be a good time to run.
Humans and androids have found themselves in an uneasy peace, although that’s not to say there isn’t still a long way to go. Then Connor’s asked to investigate a site where humans have been disappearing for a very long time. And, suddenly, everything’s a lot more complicated.
Of course, Connor’s the only one who knows just how complicated things are now, and he’s got slightly bigger problems at the moment. Like staying alive, and one step ahead of the monsters that want to steal his apparently very human soul.
