After the barrier had been broken, it released a powerful magical wave that subconsciously triggered a hidden component in some of the mage’s bloodlines. This is just Sniper interacting with his teammates and realising that maybe he doesn't have to be alone, while his team realise that perhaps Sniper has the biggest heart of them all. This is like a found family that comes together because of Sniper and his actions.

No, instead it decided that Peter needed a fucking creep. A stalker. A really creepy unnerving stalker. Peter did NOT like how this man looked at him.
