    It started as a joke, Jayce comparing Viktor to a cat: independent, intelligent, stubborn, and – most importantly – he loves to curl up on Jayce’s lap and nap in sun spots. Jayce had taken to calling him “Vitya” when he acted particularly cat-like. Viktor sort of embraced it. It did help him to feel more at ease – like he can set aside the stresses of being a person and just focus on unwinding. When Jayce first asked Viktor about pet play, he thought he might be joking. It’s out of the realm of what they usually do (typically Viktor prefers to take the lead). But, of course, Viktor can’t say no when Jayce asks with those big ol’ eyes.

    “Let’s just say Viktor gets around,” Cait explains vaguely with a grin.
    Jayce can’t help but blurt, “Him?”
    He quickly backpedals, shaking his head. “No, not– I didn’t mean it like that! It’s just– well. You know what I mean.”
    Cait shakes her head. “Trust me. That boy gets around. You might have that stupid frat-boy cred, but Viktor is wildly popular in his own way.”
    Jayce furrows his eyebrows, shaking his head again in disbelief. “Wow. I just never would have guessed from looking at him, you know?”
    Cait hums, turning back to the television. “Look a little closer. It isn’t as unexpected as you think, if you actually paid attention.”

    Viktor has a reputation. Jayce is curious. He has no idea the ride he's in for-- appearances can certainly be deceiving.
