Reid's phone pinged and he put down the dish he was drying. It was Garcia, telling them to "ASSEMBLE ASAP!" which never boded well. His chat with Jack would have to wait until after the case. Spencer texted Jessica and began gathering his things. His go-bag, badge, and gun all sat by the door as he waited for Jessica to arrive, her message having said she would be fifteen minutes. Those minutes dragged by.
After eight minutes, Spencer walked to Jack's door. He knocked three times, but got no response. "Jack, I've been called into work. Jessica's gonna be here in a minute okay?" Still nothing. Spencer felt his stomach drop. "... I love you, buddy." No response. With that, he went back to the lounge and grabbed his things. When Jessica arrived, he hurried through an explanation and left.
Had he done something wrong?

“I’m here, baby,” Spencer shifted until he was in Aaron’s line of sight, hand shakily stroking his hair, “you gotta stay with me, okay? Paramedics are on their way, just hold on a little while longer.”
He was panicking. He could feel it. He was starting to panic. How could he not? The love of his life was bleeding out in the middle of a parking lot because they had been in the right place at the wrong time. Aaron groaned and his eyes blinked closed, which only made Spencer’s panic worse.
“No, no, no, open your eyes, baby. Come on, now,” he gently tapped his boyfriend’s cheek, but Aaron didn’t open his eyes. “Please, please baby, open your eyes! Stay awake!”
