She knows what will happen if everything continues as it goes, and she can't let Thanos win a second time. But she can't interfere in the events she saw too much, so she does the only thing she can to keep the Avengers together this time.
She takes The Winter Soldier from earth and keeps him at her side in Thanos' ship.
She never imagined she would gain a father figure from it.

Then, Shadow comes back.Or- 5 times Sonic and Shadow's budding relationship went right over Tails' head, and once when he literally couldn't miss it.
