The other girl is a sweet but fierce adventurer with a past she's trying to get away from. There's a nebulous profit-hungry corporation trying to mess up their lives, but with the power of ingenious thinking and love, Ruby and Penny will overcome them.

    There is one small difference from the rest of those small-town love stories, though: Penny is a sentient machine, who would very much like a body shaped like a human, but all she's got at the moment is a 1956 Volkswagen Beetle. It's not like Ruby minds, though!
