Viktor nodded, glancing thoughtfully around the room. He was stalling and he knew it. He cleared his throat.
“Can I ask you something?”
“That’s never a good sign,” Vi teased. She wiped her hands on her pants, then looked up at him with a gentle expression, sensing his nervousness, however slight it was.
“Would you… like to go…” Viktor struggled to find the words. “To a... social gathering? With me?”
He felt like he was twelve again. Not that he’d had friends when he was twelve, but he supposed it was the sentiment that resonated.
“Viktor,” Vi started, a gibing smirk on her face. “Are you asking me out on a date?”Or: Jayce and Mel go on a picnic, and Viktor and Vi are dragged along.

“So, what are you guys working on?” She asked, licking the icing off one of the cupcakes.
“A Hextech prototype,” Jayce responded, spinning around to his desk and thumbing through a textbook. “It’s not going very well at the moment.”
Vi cocked her eyebrow, then stuck the pink cupcake out, holding it slightly below Viktor’s nose.
“Well maybe that’s because you both look like shit.” She waggled the cupcake at Viktor.
He put his tools down, sliding the goggles up onto his head so Vi could see the ‘I don’t have time for this’ look he was giving her.
Vi wasn’t one to surrender easily, however, and leaned down to level him up, her expression just as unwavering as his was.
“Can you stop being a genius for five minutes and eat this cupcake?” She prodded.
Viktor stared evenly at her, one finger tapping lightly on his desk as he thought. Finally, he narrowed his eyes and took the cupcake from her hands.Series

Vi looked away, surveying the room of party goers, and when she turned back to Viktor, an exuberant glint had taken her expression captive.
“Do you wanna get out of here?” She asked, leaning closer and passing him a look as if they shared a secret.
He supposed that, in a way, they did.
He glanced out at the room packed full of people, half of them already drunk, though they were trying to hide it. Tilting his head, he felt the ghost of a smirk pull at his lips.
“Yes,” came his soft but sure reply. “Yes, I would like that.”Or, Vi and Viktor both realize that parties aren't for them, and decide to ditch their dates and hang out together instead
