Summary
He passes the ball with a clean chop of his right foot, and, as the U20 defenders move to stop Isagi, they leave an opening for Otoya to break through and act as bait so Isagi can shoot -- or maybe he’ll pass it to Rin as Sae leaves to mark Otoya. If he doesn’t, it’s a pass to Yukimiya. The ball ends up in the net either way.
Except it doesn’t.
A white jersey appears to his left.
“I’ll sweep you off your feet, Princess.”
And then he’s
falling.
He tries to catch himself on his right leg but he had been getting ready to pass and it’s a clumsy slide tackle from Ryusei Shidou, who doesn’t care what he destroys, so instead his right leg is taken right out from under him and there’s nothing stopping him from hitting the ground.
There’s nothing stopping him from shattering like glass.

Nagi frowns, sitting up straighter in bed. His grip on the phone tightens, thumb twitching over the edge of the screen as he presses it closer to his ear.
“Hello?” he tries again. “Reo…? Do you need me to come get you?”
A long silence answers him instead. With a little sigh, Nagi opens his mouth to speak again, lips parting- only for a voice to slice through the quiet.
A voice that isn’t Reo.
With great fame, danger almost always followed.
