"Mydei!" Phainon yelps as he flips himself back upright, except it comes out as “Awoo!” instead.
This is humiliating. Mydei is the absolute last person he’d ever want to see him in this weak little body. Phainon skitters backwards, trying to stay out of reach even as Mydei approaches the table.
“Hey, watch—” Mydei grabs at him.
“Awoo?!” SPLASH!
Phainon is underwater. He flails his limbs, trying to figure out how to swim with this unfamiliar body. Something tightens around his rib cage, and he thrashes harder.
As Phainon is lifted from the water, he gasps for breath and starts coughing up the liquid he got in his throat, all while kicking his little legs trying to get some kind of foothold. He finds himself pressed against something solid and warm.
“Shh, shh. It’s okay. Don’t be scared.” Wait, who’s saying that? Mydei? Surely Mydei can’t speak with such a gentle voice… or, even if he could, he wouldn’t in this situation. And what happened to “scared” not existing in the Kremnoan language?!
Phainon gets turned into a chimera. It leads him to learning more about Mydei.

Mydei’s right here, right beside Phainon, like he always is, haughty and annoying and stupid and- he's alive.
Alive- so why can't Phainon stop having vivid nightmares of spilled golden blood, a wound to the back incapable of healing-
Of Mydei laying lifeless on the council grounds?
(Or, Phainon starts having horrifyingly visceral nightmares of a past unfamiliar to him, and slowly begins to piece together that there is something more nefarious lurking behind both the Flame Reaver and Amphoreus than the Chrysos Heirs originally imagined.)

Summary
Tribios, in comparison to Aglaea, had been warm and welcoming. They had endorsed him with full faith, treating him as if he were any other youth, and trusted in his strength to shield all of them.
For that, he is grateful.
Grateful enough, it seems, to not mind it as they hum and eye him like he’s a particularly interesting puzzle to be solved during Action Hour.
Mydei spends some time with Tribbie, Trianne, and Trinnon, and gifts them a little something as a show of his appreciation.

Summary
Cipher finds a traumatized white-haired boy in a destroyed village, so she takes him with her on her travels, avoiding Okhema like she's done for the past centuries.
And then she finds another kid, blond this time, with the same golden blood but no injuries, and thinks “what the hell, sure” and takes him with her too.
Cipher isn't the best babysitter around, but she does know when someone needs to run away from the world for a while.
