Atsumu and Rintarou used to date in high school but parted ways when they went pro. After an accident, Atsumu lands himself in the hospital with a concussion. He wakes up with amnesia. The last few years are hazy, and that includes his breakup with Rintarou. Rintarou takes it into his own hands, seeing it as a second chance. He regrets breaking up with Atsumu and is still very much in love with him. -

After a storm, Kiyoomi finds a man washed up on the shore. However, he soon realizes that it's not a *man* but an elf. He brings the elf back to his centaur tribe to recover and find out what an elf was doing aboard a human ship. The elf, Atsumu, reveals that he and his brother were captured and were being smuggled along with other mythical beings. Now there's fear on the horizon that the humans will come looking for their precious, missing cargo. Kiyoomi and his centaur tribe will have to fight to protect their home, and for Kiyoomi, he will protect the elf with eyes like the sun.

In this world, everyone has a soulmate. On the elder of the pair’s sixteenth birthday, they manifest an animal that represents their soulmate on either arm. This “tattoo” however, is unlike any other phenomena. It is like a living, 2D moving picture on a person’s skin. It has a colored aura depending on the person’s strong emotions and feelings, changes facial expressions, and reacts with the world around it though not physically. For example, it can “hear” and “see” and therefore interact via movements on the skin. They live only on the appendage they appear on and can move along it.

Summary
In an innocent little town, underneath a wisteria blooming multiple times a year, lived a man. He was known by many names, given to him throughout his 30 years of life. For some he was a lunatic - a witch doctor no one dared understand, who spoke of voices and ghosts. For others he was a protector - an ally making sure even the most disgusting of creatures could feel at peace.
But the name he was known by the most was Miya Atsumu - the medium keeping the thin line between the world of the living and the divine safe.
Married to a fox spirit from whom he gained most of his powers, Atsumu did everything to make sure both the humans and the youkai of the area were content - no harm came their way and it remained like that for years.
But when out of a sudden new faces appeared, and along with them the threat of everything falling apart in a stench of death and misery, he had no choice but to take matters into his own hands. Aided by his husband and the ones he deemed his friends, Atsumu kept finding clues about new dangers lurking about.
Atsumu had to be careful though - for where the bad energy started spreading, deadly beings always followed.

In the world of yokai a tale has been told, known by many.
There was a shrine, hidden among the forests and fertile fields of Hyogo, made of the purest materials. The gates leading to its entrance were made of the hardest wood, said to withhold any attack. Among the grounds, the most beautiful of omega kitsune lived - their kimonos were made of the finest materials and their furs were soft as a cloud.
Every being desired these omegas but none could have them, as they were protected by a powerful being. He was greater than any warrior - his fangs could snap any bone, his claws could cut the hardest flesh and his flames burned hotter than the sun. The creature was a nine-tailed kitsune, as captivating as he was deadly.
None could have him as a mate.
