Summary
After decades of patiently waiting for Yggdrasil to become self-sustaining—all the while the variants of He Who Remains gained power—Loki has found a way to time slip into the TVA for short periods. His life becomes an endless loop of 12 hours in the tree, 3 hours processing through the tsunami of information, and a precious 9 hours of freedom. Rinse and repeat.
As time passes, it becomes harder and harder for Loki to put off his own wants and needs for his perceived penitence. Loki is selfish. At some point, he wants his own chance to live.
Maybe there really is nothing wrong with wanting something.

They have never interacted directly but already Viktor profiled him as all good looks and luck, little substance. Mel nodded, and said “I’m going to have him begging, he looks like a boy toy.”
Viktor nearly snorted, laughing too hard, and Mel giggled right back with him.
“Is it a competition?” Mel grinned, a picture of perfect innocence.
“With who?”
