In hindsight, it should have been obvious. The way Rumi refused to go to the bathhouse, her bizarre relationship with Celine, this whole thing with the Saja Boys? Mira prided herself on reading people, and she felt stupid for not seeing it sooner. The pieces were all there, just waiting to be put together.
Rumi was gay.
The night after the joint signing with the Saja Boys, Mira went to confront Rumi about her ongoing weird behavior. Instead of letting hurt feelings drive the conversation, Mira took a minute to try and figure out what might be wrong. Unfortunately, she came to the completely wrong conclusion.
Misunderstandings ensue. They talk it out.

Summary
The one where Rumi has been suppressing her feeling for a certain redhead because of Celine and Zoey is hyper aware of it. So after a concert, the girls take turns playing some American pop songs from the 2000s and Zoey takes the opportunity to hint at Rumi's feelings. A very oblivious Mira accidentally adds fuel to the fire and Rumi might just actually jump out of the car at this point.
Real quick- there are no saja boys and no demons. Just strict and homophobic parental guardians.

Maybe not in the literal sense, sure, she was never physically abandoned by her family, but she was never accepted either. When her brother would be brought out to be celebrated for a dinner, she sometimes wasn't brought along for fear of her being too loud, of having too many opinions that were ‘unacceptable’ at a celebratory dinner.

"Yes." Zoey pushed the bundle that had once been her friend, but now might've been nothing more than just a… depressed lump of flesh."No." Rumi mumbled from under the confindes of her blankets. she was completly trapped under there and therefore had a valid excuse for not leaving her bed.

Mira is in love with Rumi, Rumi is in love with Jinu, and Rumi now has to deal with one curse, 5 dumbasses, one fluffy cat and a bird. What could go wrong?
