The first time Deanna held her little brother, was the day he was born. Her parents had sat her down and set up a support pillow before placing his tiny wrinkly body into her chubby little hands.
“This is your baby brother: Samuel.” They’d told her.
“My baby.” she had repeated back to them.
“Your baby brother, Deanna.” Her sweaty, smiley, mother had reiterated, but by that point she was already staring mesmerised at his scrunched face and rose-bud lips.Six months later her house and life burnt down.
It was only part of the house that was damaged actually, but in the minds of their family the place was scorched, taking Mother Mary with it. And now baby Sammy really was her baby.
John had thrust him back into her freckled arms, now practised at holding him, and sent them both outside. And for the next week, month, year, decade, John put Sam into Deanna's arms and care again and again and afuckinggain.
The last time Deanna held her little brother, was the day he died.Or so she thought.

Dean, Sam and Cas end up in the past right at the end of Season 1. They're not the only ones to travel however, as season 1 Dean from another dimension has appeared too. Or rather, Deanna has.
